**About the day-to-day**:
- Review Issue SLAs with the team on a regular frequency; works with internal and external stakeholders to improve SLAs
- Regularly meet with ITSM team to review incident management metrics, discuss pain points, and provides suggested improvements to the ServiceDesk scripts, procedures, and workflows
- Understand the business strategy and customer volumes, and preforms system and people capacity planning
- Support new business initiatives by providing system expertise and estimates for the Core Banking team
- Reviews and approves runbooks required for system operation
- Participate in building the banking systems roadmap
- Participate in internal and external audits of the core banking systems
- Review and approve vendor contracts and invoices as required
- Act as part of the escalation tree for production incidents, provide escalation decisions.
- Provides after-hour on-call support
- Other duties as required including a range of complex and unique tasks, which involve creative problem solving
**About you / qualifications**:
- 7+ years of experience working as part of IT Operations team in a financial institution
- Diploma or a degree in the areas of computer science, engineering, information systems or math
- Experience in:
- managing a team of support personnel
- supporting core banking systems
- implementing regulatory and compliance standards such as SOC 2, PCI, and others
- vendor management, budget forecast, and capacity forecast
- ITIL Foundation Certification and experience working in a ServiceNow incident management environment
- Hands-on experience with different operating systems (Linux, Windows), scripting languages, SQL, AWS CLI, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence
- Familiarity with deposit and lending products such as savings, operating accounts, GICs, trust accounts as well as commercial and residential mortgages, secured and unsecured personal loans, etc.
- Strong understanding of different payment types and their workflows (ACSS, Interac eTransfer, credit and debit card payments)
- Proficient in PowerPoint, MS Office, Excel, Visio, MS Teams
- Working knowledge of Portfolio+ and/or Fiserv DNA is a strong asset
- Familiarity with Agile is an asset
- Excellent communication skills
