- **Metal Shop Clerk - Day Shift**_
- **Monday to Friday - Days, 8 hours per day.**_
- **The Metal Shop Clerk**_ _is responsible for raw and wip material inventory control, to assist metal shop scheduling paperwork processes, ordering part, preparing requisitions, and supporting the metal shop supervisor and team._

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the preparation of incoming metal orders
- Receive and validate raw materials orders
- Perform cycle counts of raw and wip materials
- Investigate any inventory discrepancies in the metal shop
- Maintain raw and wip materials inventory accuracy - track materials purchases, consumption, etc. and reconcile
- Assist with organizing the storage of material to maintain an efficient flow of material in the department
- Supporting the Production Scheduler with Metal Shop scheduling
- Prepare and enter the daily travel tickets for scheduling with all required paperwork
- Update the ERP system with daily production outputs
- Assist with updating, maintaining, and improving requisition process Assist with tracking of Metal Shop performance metrics
- Assist with ordering of Metal Shop tooling and MRO supplies
- Prepare and sort documents and complete data entry into Excel and Syspro
- Assist with administrative activities to support the Metal Shop Supervisor
- Maintain an organize filing system for all appropriate documents
- Suggest solutions for continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

**Experience Requirements**:

- Strong administrative experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office: Word, Outlook and Excel
- College Diploma is preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing metal shop is preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and clearly with team and other supervisors and managers
- Must be able to resolve problems in a courteous and discrete manner with external and internal customers
- Must have ability to effectively follow-up and handle multiple tasks with strong personal time management skills
- Willingness to work independently, with mínimal supervision and take ownership of work
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well individually and/or as a part of a cross functional team.
- Must be able to work with little supervision and be self-directed
- Delivers Results and ability to take initiative and problem solve
