Optical Assistant

Optical Assistant position at a fashion forward, busy, independent optical in downtown Lindsay Ontario. NYO is looking to add to our small optical team. We are looking for an individual to assist with a range of tasks around the office.

Some of the daily jobs will include: filing, cleaning, answering phone calls, and assisting customers.

We are looking for an someone who is organized, outgoing, confident and has strong communication skills. They must have a great sense of style and are able to assist customers with frame selection. They must also feel comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

Optical experience or medical administration background would be a bonus, but not a requirement.

Must be able to go up and down stairs multiple times a day.

Compensation will depend on experience.

Our business hours are Mon-Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9-3. We are very flexible with scheduling but they MUST be available to work some Saturdays.

*This position is open to a summer student or a Student/Intern Optician looking for a potential full time position.

Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: $15.50-$20.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
