Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance and Custodial Services with a relationship with the Manager, Project, Planning and Maintenance, the Supervisor will assist with the day-to-day coordination of maintenance operations for all campus locations including College Drive, Commerce Court, Aviation and West Parry Sound. The Supervisor will assist with the planning and allocating of resources for the daily maintenance operations of the buildings to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment.

The Supervisor will ensure that work conducted throughout the buildings is prioritized, coordinated between corrective/preventative requests, change requests to organized internal resources with contracted services for renewal projects.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Certificate of Qualification in good standing in either HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical streams as an asset
- Minimum five (5) years of extensive experience in Facility Maintenance and Project Construction
- Experience in an operations role combined with proven supervisory/leadership experience
- Experience in the public sector and/or experience within the post-secondary environment is preferred
- Strong customer focus background coupled with experience in dealing with conflict resolution and crisis response/management
- Knowledge and experience related to technical and administrative practices, processes and technology and organizing workflow
- Excellent computer software and technology skills including the use of the Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong client focus with an awareness of and sensitivity to diversity
- In-person, on-site position; must be able to reliably commute and/or relocate to North Bay, ON

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assist with the execution of the facilities department mission and vision by participating in the development of goals, objectives and policies/procedures
- Manage and maintain the CMMS System for Canadore College and Nipissing University
- Plan, supervise and direct the work of employees engaged in day-to-day activities based on corrective and preventative work requests
- Establish schedules and methods for providing facility maintenance services by identifying needs
- Establish quality metrics and inspect work in progress for completeness and accuracy
- Develop a College critical equipment list, outlining both building infrastructure and academic critical equipment to facilitate the maintenance requirements and associated supporting processes
- Assist with the Corporate Services Operations Liaison with Request for Changes outside of the corrective, preventative, or predictive maintenance system
- Coordinate with the Operations Liaison and the Building Operations Team to ensure adequate resources are applied to all new projects, provide input as to proposed changes and participate in the Management of Change process
- Liaise with various College stakeholders to support the effective practices, procedures and processes to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance requests or service needs
- Provide resolution support to issues arising out of equipment used and will support academic, support staff and administration staff to ensure reliable operation
- Provide leadership in a multi-campus environment requiring regular interaction, communication and collaboration with staff and stakeholders at the College Drive, Commerce Court, Aviation and West Parry Sound Campuses
