Semi Truck Driver

Under the general direction of the packing Manager, the Semi Driver is responsible for the packing house and greenhouse logistics. The incumbent will ensure an operational standard of excellence in all key business areas including product handling, loading unloading, documentation, and management reporting. The Semi Driver will also adhere to food safety regulations and other regulatory programs. The Semi Driver will help during cleanup/Setup of the greenhouses performing the other duties other than driving truck.

**Job Requirements**
- Make sure daily pre-operational checks, including, but not limited to:

- Pre trip of semi / 5-ton truck and reefers.
- Cleaning and lubricating if needed.
- Daily Communication with packhouse and greenhouse management.
- Product receiving checklists for all locations.
- Report any damage to the equipment as soon as possible.
- Securing facilities at the start and end of shifts as required.

**Duties**
- Bring all the raw product for packing from all 3 locations.
- Provide Empty bins/totes to all location in a timely manner.
- Move the packed product from one storage cooler to another storage cooler.
- Secure the load with loading bars before pulling the truck from the dock.
- Load/Unload the product with forklift when needed.
- Help to Conduct regular audits and maintain and upkeep cleanliness and organization of warehouse and grading line.
- Partake in regular safety meetings, forklift, and fire safety training to keep apprised of safety regulations and procedures
- Ensure timely provide various complete checklist to Administrators
- Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of Randhawa Farms Ltd.
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

**Required Experience and Qualifications**
- 2+ years of experience driving semi-truck is an asset
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Experience in fast-paced, large volume packing house, either in a fresh produce farming operation or independent produce distributor considered an asset
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards a must
- Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Punjabi
- Ability to communicate somewhat in Spanish is an asset
- Ability to work both during normal business hours as well as on-call, evenings, and weekends.
- Should have good knowledge of basic computer. MS Excel is an asset.
