**Rate**:$16.21-$21.20

**Hours**:16 Hours per week; May include irregular hours, shifts,
weekends (both Saturday & Sunday).

**Position Summary**:
The Coordinator serves as the main point of contact and program administrator for the

Community Cats Program as well as the Foodbank program at the Winnipeg Humane
Society.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Respond to calls for service regarding community cat issues.
- Be a community cat/TNR information resource to all internal and external
- stakeholders.- Assist in developing TNR educational and other materials.
- Recruit, train and supervise Community Cat volunteers and Colony managers.
- Assists citizens with interpretation and understanding of animal ordinances,

program procedures and responsible animal ownership.
- Coordinate community cat intake, surgeries, and medical treatment with the

Clinic department.
- Develops and maintains positive, collaborative relationships with other

organizations and groups involved in community cat work.
- Stays up-to-date on community cat best practices and proposes changes to the

program as needed.
- Perform transport to return cats to field.
- Assess client eligibility for WHS foodbank program and strategize how best to

serve them.
- Admit clients to WHS foodbank program and gather information from clients

according to our policies and procedures.
- Manages the internal foodbank operation to distribute food products to eligible

individuals.
- Maintains food pantry inventory by placing orders with vendors as well as

purchasing food and non-food items from local stores.
- Trains, schedules, and provides supervision of food pantry volunteers.
- Packs food pantry orders and stocks shelves as needed.
- Responsible for implementing Food Pantry policies and procedures.
- Coordinates supply and delivery food to satellite foodbank location.
- Always maintains a friendly demeanor and provides excellent customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Working Conditions**

Fast paced environment that requires multiple projects at once, handling stress, and

being a calming entity for people and animals who may be experiencing stress. Most

time will be spent in a heated/airconditioned building, but large chunks of time may be

spent outdoors. The Coordinator has direct contact with animals of varying degrees of

handleability, mostly fractious***
