Auto Body Technician

**FULL TIME COLLISION AUTOBODY POSITION - METRO TRUCK GROUP HAMILTON LOCATION.**

The Metro Truck Group of companies is a full-service centre for all heavy truck & trailer needs. As our trusted brand continues to evolve, Metro Truck Collision is looking for an experienced Auto Body Technician at our Head Office & Full Service Elite Dealership residing in Stoney Creek, ON.

**Main Duties Include (but are not limited to)**:

- Performing diverse and complex vehicle body work in the maintenance, repairing, rebuilding, painting and modification of trucks, cabs, light, heavy, and/or special service vehicles
- Repairing and replacing body components, doors, frame and underbody components
- Repairs to fiberglass hoods, fenders and other transport truck components
- Removes dents and repairs damaged surfaces or replaces damaged parts
- Using plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
- Dismantling and repairing vehicles to insurance and company specifications
- Replace and/or repair interior components, including electrical and vehicle accessories
- Asses, diagnose, and repair structural vehicle components
- Perform welding to sectioned vehicle body parts, including removal and reinstallation of fabricated pieces
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following all Metro Truck Health & Safety guidelines
- All other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3-5 years Auto Body repair experience required
- Must be able to work well in a team environment and/or independently
- Ability to meet tight deadlines & effectively manage time
- Exceptional attention to detail & welding skills
- Excellent work ethic with a willingness to learn
- Capable of functioning in a fast past, physically demanding environment
- While performing the duties of this Job, technicians are regularly required to stand; walk; bend; lift
- _Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required._
