**Your Future Role**:
A General Machinist is responsible for working closely with other Machinists, Shop Manager, Engineering, Product Development, Fabrication and Assembly personnel, you will work to produce high quality products efficiently and with a high focus on safety. We are looking to add someone to our team who is eager to learn, detail-orientated and a team player. It is crucial that our General Machinist promote a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Understand and interpret engineers’ drawings
- Select and use tooling required for specific jobs
- Select and use proper measuring tools
- Organize assigned tasks for efficiency
- Create and use jigs and fixtures as required
- Competently operate milling machine and lathe
- Conduct preventative maintenance of milling machine and lathe
- Maintain tooling and report damaged equipment
- Complete tasks within agreed time constraints
- Maintain a clean and orderly workstation
- Consistently collaborate with Shop Manager and Engineering departments to improve TMG products
- Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
- In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company
- All other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Completion of High School or equivalent
- Licensed 429A Machinist
- 3-5 years experience in manual machinist environment
- Previous experience in a custom shop environment an asset
- You have a get it done attitude and are skilled at removing barriers
- You operate with a team spirit, not with ego; you want everyone, including yourself, to do their best work; you see your success as dependent on the success of the team
- You have the ability to think beyond the needs of the customer to point out errors and potential issues
- You are able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, cope effectively with complexity and change, quickly understand and absorb new information and respond appropriately
- You are a straight shooter who gets to the point and can clearly communicate in both oral and written form
