TLC Groomery is a specialty pet grooming salon located in Waterloo, Ontario. We are a close knit team of experienced groomers. We strive to have a low stress salon environment with a large existing high-end client base. We encourage and support our groomers to upgrade skills or specialize as they grow their request clientele. We offer flexible scheduling, onsite parking, a location close to public transit (and Tim Hortons), and our groomers are set up as legal employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Groom dogs according to client specifications, breed standards and instructions provided
- Experience working with cats preferred but not required
- Clean and sanitize grooming equipment and work area
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for pets and staff
- Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns or questions
- Answer phones and assist with scheduling of appointments

Experience & Skills
- Minimum two years experience required
- Knowledge of different breeds and their grooming needs
- Preference given to groomers with experience with breed standard/show quality bichon and poodle trims, asian fusion styling, and handstripping
- Ability to handle pets of various sizes and temperaments
- Familiarity with grooming tools and techniques
- Ability to lift heavy objects, such as large dogs (we use a team lift for super sized dogs)
- Strong customer service skills to interact with pet owners
- Attention to detail

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 - 40 per week

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay
- Tips

**Experience**:

- dog grooming: 2 years (required)
