EMILI is seeking an agriculture student to join our team as a Summer Intern.

The Summer Intern will be responsible for supporting the execution of projects related to digital agriculture at Innovation Farms near Grosse Isle Manitoba.
- Operation of small farm equipment such as tractors and mowers for plot maintenance- Maintenance and installation of weather stations and soil moisture probes- Crop Scouting and monitoring pheromone traps- Collect crop images using go pros, drones, hand held computers- Collect stories and photos highlighting our activities for our communications- Help organize field tour days- Gathering and entering data for projects

The start date is flexible, early-mid April is preferred. The position is approx. 2 days a week work-from-home with travel 3 days a week to Innovation Farms near Grosse Isle Manitoba.

Compensation will be competitive and based on the level of experience of the selected student.

**Requirements**:

- Student pursuing a degree at the bachelor or masters level in the discipline of Agriculture
- Able to work extended hours
- Suitable home workspace for remote workdays
- Access to reliable vehicle for on-field workdays
- Other background in agriculture is an asset- Experience driving farm machinery or garden tractors- Strong technological acumen of digital tools used in agriculture- Research, troubleshooting, and analytical skills- Demonstrated ability to take responsibility, be accountable, and work collaboratively- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
