Student Warehouse Worker

Proudfoot's Home Hardware Building Centre in Pictou has an immediate opening for a part-time student Warehouse Worker. Generally, our students will work two shifts during the week from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm and one shift (7-8 hours) each weekend.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide efficient, pleasant and safe customer service in our warehouse and lumberyard
- Maintain inventory in lumberyard and protect from weather
- Restock building materials and other products
- Load building materials and other products for delivery
- Help on the delivery trucks
- Work at a steady pace to complete assigned to-do lists
- Keep lumberyard and warehouse neat and clean at all times
- Work safely and be a part of a safety-first culture
- Complete all tasks following company standards
- Other tasks as assigned by your supervisor

**Requirements**:

- Good communication skills, written and spoken
- An ability to bend, twist, reach and lift heavy materials (75 lb)
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions (heat, cold, sun, rain & snow)
- An ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Scheduling flexibility

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $15.20 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

Work Location: In person
