**The Opportunity**

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for all aspects related to the organization of maintenance, ensuring compliance with company procedures and the direction's strategy including the management of the facility. They are responsible for Safety, meeting production deadlines, and optimizing costs.

Additionally, they ensure equipment improvement, adaptation to new technologies, and organizational changes within the company. Responsible for the entire process, they act as the interface between production and the maintenance team they manage.

In direct communication with the Director of Industrial Operations, they translate specifications into operational terms. They work closely with members of the Management Committee.

**What you will do**
- Plan and manage the annual maintenance and facilities budget.
- Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs for production machinery and facility requirement.
- Oversee capital expenditure projects, including drafting proposals and managing budget.
- Negotiate contracts with external service providers for specific and recurring work such as HVAC, fire prevention, grounds maintenance, plumbing, electrical, etc.
- Recruit the team of engineers or technicians responsible for maintenance, while respecting the allocated budget and the company's needs, in collaboration with the HR department.
- Perform annual performance reviews and provide necessary training and support and address inappropriate behaviors according to the applicable sanction scale.
- Lead and prioritize maintenance activities during daily operations and planned shutdowns.
- Ensure compliance with industry-specific safety regulations, environmental standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Develop and maintain high-performance teams through effective people management and team development strategies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of multi-trade technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Implement progressive disciplinary action, when necessary, up to and including termination, while maintaining a fair and supportive workplace.

And all other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor, relevant and directly related to the proper execution of this position.

**What you will bring**
- Minimum bachelor’s degree preferably in Industrial Maintenance or combination of education and related experience.
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in supervisory roles with a focus on team development and performance management.
- A background in project management, particularly in equipment changes and facility renovations.
- Exceptional skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated high-speed manufacturing lines and robotic automation systems.
- Experience with PLC programming, hydraulics, pneumatics, vision and robotic systems.
- Ability to foster a team-oriented environment and improve maintenance metrics such as MTTR and MTBF.
- An innovative mindset for continuous improvement and process streamlining.
- Master CMMS software and data management,
- Have multidisciplinary skills (mechanics, electricity, automation, etc.), would be an asset.
- Master technologies of main production posts, industrial processes, and production rhythms
- Knowledge of OHSA and applicable environmental regulations
- Know technical specifications and documentation of machines under their responsibility
- Ability to create a predictive maintenance schedule in line with production constraints
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, MS Office Suite, and CMMS packages
- Master problem-solving tools (5M, 5P, etc.)
- Master technical English
- Experience in continuous processes.
