**Job Description**:
***:Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor Children, Youth, & Events, the babysitter is responsible for providing a safe, fun environment for children to play in.
**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Be responsible for the safety, discipline and activities for all of the children.
- Communicate in a positive and friendly manner to the children and parents.
- Adhere to the rules and staff code of behaviour. Approved clothing and name tag must be worn.
- Enforce all Complex rules and regulations with respect to staff and users.
- Change diapers.
- Organize small group activities.
- Request necessary supplies and equipment and report need for maintenance or repair.
- Attend staff meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum age of 16. Must have experience working with children.
**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**:
- Must undergo a successful Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC);
- Must obtain 1st Aid and 2 Person CPR within three months of employment;
- Must obtain WHMIS and Customer Service Training.
**TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT**:
- Part time (not to exceed 24 hours per week)
- Times: 8:45am to 9:00pm
- Dates: Monday to Saturday
- May have to work flexible hours
