**Presidential Gourmet Fine Catering** is hiring a **Bookkeeper **to join our team in our **Markham** Head office. This is an entry-level position.

We are looking for someone who will work hard and have experience with our systems currently in place (Caterease, QuickBooks/Sage). With proper guidance and motivation, there is an opportunity for growth. Experience with accounting software as well as Microsoft Office is required.

You must be a team player, have an excellent command of both written and spoken English, have attention to detail and LOVE to help people. Flexibility in shifts is a must.
- Record daily financial transactions in the system (receipts, invoices/payments, bank, and credit card transactions etc.).
- Manage full cycle accounts payable, correspondence with vendors, processing payment using EFTs, and maintaining invoices and supporting documents records.
- Record revenue based on information received from various departments.
- Administer internal PO Process for all company expenditures.
- Monitor cash positions in bank accounts and assist in cash management.
- Handle petty cash.
- Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations periodically for multiple accounts.
- Periodically prepare GST/HST payable schedules and timely payments to Government.
- Processing inter-company reconciliations, adjustments, journal entries, and balancing General Ledger (month, quarter, year-end).
- Reconciliations of accounts at period end to identify any errors or duplications in records.
- Maintain supporting documentation and a proper filing system for all financial transactions.
- Knowledge of Fund Accounting as an asset.
- Additional tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned by the Manager.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping.
- Experience using Caterease, Sage or QuickBooks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
- Strong accounting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Fund Accounting as an asset.
- Excellent ability to organize, manage multiple tasks and prioritize to meet hard deadlines.
- Works well independently, takes initiative and is proactive.
- Superb attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality.

**Experience**:

- QuickBooks/Sage Account: 2 years (required)
- Canadian Accounting: 2 years (required)
- Canadian Bookkeeping: 2 years (required)

**Work Hours**: Monday, Wednesday and Friday occasional Saturday 10:00 pm - 4:00 pm

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
