Associate Chiropractor

Seeking an **Associate Chiropractor **to join our healthcare team.

Dowswell Chiropractic & Wellness Centre is based in Orillia, with an active and loyal client base. The office currently offers chiropractic care, laser therapy, contemporary acupuncture, traditional Chinese acupuncture, custom orthotics, and massage therapy. The techniques used within the office are Thompson Terminal, Koren Specific, Active Release, Neuro Emotional, and Activator Method. Administrative support and reception services are provided.

Dr. Dowswell is ideally looking for an associate to work towards purchasing the practice in the future.

**Qualifications**
- Must hold an Active Category license with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, in good standing (or pending)
- Must be in good standing with the Canadian Chiropractic Association and the Ontario Chiropractic Association (or pending)
- Must hold professional liability insurance that meets governing college guidelines (or pending)
- Experienced practitioner preferred, however, a motivated, self-starting new grad is very welcome
- Experience with insurance procedures (WSIB, EHB, MVA) is ideal; training can be provided
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other Health Care Professionals
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Professionalism, independence, and dedication to client-centered practice

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assess, diagnose, treat and recommend options to relieve pain, restore mobility and prevent reoccurrence, as well as form individual plan of managements for wellness and prevention
- Recommend treatment plans and home care based on individual needs
- Advise patients on health and lifestyle issues, such as exercise, nutrition, and sleep habits
- Complete HCAI and WSIB documents for patients
- Prepare medical reports and assessments
- Refer patients to other health care professionals, when needed
- Educate clients in self-care and a wellness lifestyle
