An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new graduate **Electrical** **EIT **to join our team in Burlington. We are looking for someone with passion and drive, who is highly organized and can ensure that our high standard of quality is maintained. With varied engineering, procurement and construction options, your skilled guidance in influencing project plan execution is crucial to the delivery of sustainable and successful outcomes for our clients.

**About the role**:
In your role, you will have the opportunity to take on a wide variety of tasks. Some examples are to:

- Assists engineers in preparing, coordinating, and reviewing deliverables for the discipline to develop engineering skills in a variety of project related tasks
- Participate in engineering assignments under close supervision
- Assist with report writing and client solutions.
- Perform electrical engineering design to produce deliverables such as: single line diagrams, area classification drawings, electrical load lists, equipment datasheets, equipment specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, equipment layouts, grounding layouts, electrical studies, lighting layouts, cable tray layouts, power system studies, cable schedules, panel schedules, control schematics, electric heat trace design, wiring diagrams, 3D models, budget estimates and construction work packages.
- Coordinate technical issues and required information with other disciplines.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines of provincial engineering association(s).

**About you**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent with 3 to 5 years of experience in similar roles
- Problem solving and organisation skills
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Exposure to and/or knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment and enthusiasm for continuous learning

**Bonus Points**

Any of the following attributes may give you a competitive edge:

- AutoCAD, Navisworks and Instrumentation / Control / PLC exposure
- Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Familiarity with Power Study software (ETAP, SKM or similar)
- Exposure to Smartplant software suite - Intergraph Smart® Electrical, Intergraph Smart® Instrumentation
- Exposure to or experience working with an engineering consulting firm or similar environment
