We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facilities through various cleaning and maintenance tasks. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our staff, program participants, visitors and members of the wider community.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, floors, and mirrors
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as offices
- Monitor and replenish cleaning and housekeeping supplies as needed
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties
- Ensure all standards are met for accreditations and Public Health inspections.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning is preferred
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks for extended periods of time
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors

**Salary**: $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
