We are looking for a Lead Application Engineer (AE) who is an expert in digital implementation (Netlist to GDS) and signoff flows to work closely with leading edge customers in building, deploying, and maintaining world class ASIC and System On Chip (SOC) digital design methodologies. In this role you will be a key part of an optimized customer focused team and working closely with customers, team members, sales account managers, and Cadence R&D staff to solve problems, optimize outcomes, and influence future direction of critical Cadence EDA technologies.

Following are the key job responsibilities
- Be the primary focal point for technical issues, questions, and discussions for a multiple customer engagements
- Lead technical discussions with customers and is the primary technical interface between customer and Cadence R&D. Capable of influencing outcomes among customers, R&D and Cadence technical team members.
- Good consulting/client skills. Deliver results with mínimal day-to-day guidance
- Review, document and resolve project technical issues. Escalation of issues to Project Management when appropriate
- Solid understanding of the ASIC/SOC Design implementation process
- Strong hands-on experience with Netlist to GDS and Signoff Tools (Innovus, Tempus, Voltus or equivalent)
- Exposure and experience with Synthesis tools (Genus, RTL Compiler or equivalent)
- Be able to debug and resolve complicated PPA, Low Power implementation and TAT issues related to digital implementation flows
- Be able to provide actionable feedback to upstream and downstream flows as well as derive actionable items to tune digital flow to improve metrics
- Have exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Have expertise in TCL coding required to customize tools and flows

**Requirements**:

- BS in EE with minimum 4-7 years industry related experience in design and/or EDA (Digital Implementation)
- 4-7 Years of digital implementation experience.
- Experience in Cadence Innovus and/or Tempus
- Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl and shell scripting essential
- Strong analytical & analysis skills covering digital implementation is critical.
- Proven track record and experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer interaction & presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with Sr. Members of Cadence staff across multiple organization.
