iGaming Ontario (iGO) has established a new online gaming (igaming) market provided through private gaming companies. Formed in July 2021, iGO is working collaboratively with the Government of Ontario and Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to bring the world’s best igaming experiences to the province in a safer environment, helping to protect consumers and provide more choice.

While providing leadership and guidance to a highly skilled technical team, the role is responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures to meet iGO’s evolving business needs. The incumbent will provide oversight, and lead consultations with internal and external stakeholders, incorporating varying perspectives to support a dynamic environment.
- Provide leadership, vision and direction to direct reports to ensure successful delivery of IT service delivery goals and objectives
- Act as the key contributor to the identification of strategic plan priorities related to technology infrastructure, service desk, and cybersecurity.
- Work with the Director, Information Technology and Business Optimization to develop overall IT strategy in the context of the business strategy
- Establish a robust governance and develop policies in addition to standard operating procedures
- Adhere to service level agreement compliance and delivery of all IT services
- Ensure proper environments are in place to effectively support IT systems including redundancy, backup, and disaster recovery
- Ensure availability of required infrastructure for efficient delivery
- Ensure appropriate cybersecurity measures are incorporated into infrastructure design for the protection of computing resources and critical data
- Implement and manage IT systems status reporting, metrics and benchmarks
- University or college degree in computer science, engineering or related field accompanied with experience in leadership role in defining requirements, gaining commitment and acceptance from business departments
- Minimum 2 years of proven leadership experience in building a high-performance team
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of Information Technology and Information Management and cloud infrastructure and services
- Sound knowledge of Project Management methodologies for managing IT projects and planning
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrated expertise with IT contracts and their likely cost implications
- Knowledge of IT support tools and frameworks such as ITIL and cybersecurity best practices and frameworks (eg. CIS or NIST)
- Knowledge of regulated industries and work in public sector and iGaming Ontario’s mandate, operational policies, procedures and guidelines
