**Position Overview**

The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and SNC-Lavalin. Shoreline Power Group will be completing the Fuel Channel and Feeder Replacement (FCFR) project. The joint venture has been awarded a contract by Bruce Power to execute the Unit 6 and Unit 3 FCFR at the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station in Kincardine, Ontario. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064, the project is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program to replace the main components of the reactor. Unit 6 is the first of six reactors being replaced by Bruce Power through the MCR program. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders for Unit 6 and Unit 3, as well as construction management and trade labor.

The Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and Framatome, located in Kincardine Ontario. SGRT is a part of the Major Component Replacement project and includes the removal of the steam generators at Unit 6, 3, and 4 and the installation of replacement steam generators with related plant modifications. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064. In addition to the existing contracts for Unit 3 and Unit 4, SGRT has signed a long-term Preferred Supplier Agreement for steam generator replacements at the plant’s remaining units as part of the Bruce Major Component Replacement project.

This opportunity for an Environment Student is 8 -16 months in duration. Reporting to the Environment Specialist, the Environmental Student will be responsible for supporting the Environmental, Health and Safety team and their tasks.

**What You'll Do Here**
- Conduct environmental monitoring and inspections of areas to verify compliance with federal and provincial environmental regulations, project environmental management plans and Project Agreements.
- Monitor the effectiveness of environmental mitigation measures, best management practices and corrective actions installed or implemented by construction and provide feedback to the Environment Manager & EHS/HU Team.
- Provide multi-project environmental technical support for the Environmental Program at all project sites.
- Assist in development and roll-out of Environmental communications across work sites, construction staff, contractors, and management teams.
- Document and report on environmental conditions, observations, and non-compliances during site walkdowns and environmental incidents to Environmental. Management Team and support development of corrective actions.
- Assist the Environmental Manager in generating performance reports, dashboards, and other documentation.
- Support the development of environmental documents such as standard operating procedures, work instructions and dashboards.
- Assist in any start up for new work areas or projects, including providing all the necessary templates and documentation that will be required for reporting and program maintenance purposes.
- Support Internal & External Environmental / EHS audits.
- Other duties as required.

**What You Will Bring to the Team**
- 3rd or 4th year in a post-secondary Environmental Science or related program.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills are required.
- Ability to be self-motivated and work effectively with mínimal direction.
- Effective organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure work environment.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
