1a Driving Instructor

Overview:
Camel Towing is seeking a skilled and patient 1A/Commercial Senior Driving Instructor to join our team. As a Senior 1A Driving Instructor, you will play a crucial role in educating and training individuals to become safe and responsible drivers. To be considered a Senior Driving Instructor, you must meet and be in compliance with SGI's rules and regulations as well as certification critera to train people in 1A.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide driving instruction to students in both classroom and behind-the-wheel settings
- Educate students on traffic laws, safe driving practices, and defensive driving techniques
- Conduct driving lessons tailored to each student's skill level and learning pace
- Offer constructive feedback to help students improve their driving abilities
- Schedule and coordinate driving lessons with students
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and lesson plans
- Teach the required program MELT

Qualifications:

- Valid Driving Instructor License or Certification
- Excellent communication skills to effectively tutor and guide students
- Ability to educate and engage students in a classroom setting
- Patience and understanding to work with individuals of varying skill levels
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices

**Requirements**:

- Have 5 years, 500,000 kms or 6,000 hours of Class 1A driving experience in North America in the past 10 years.
- Have a satisfactory driving record. Please provide a commercial driver’s abstract for the past 10 years.
- Provide proof of grade 10 or equivalent.
- Meet English language requirements.

Pay: $17.85-$39.71 per hour
