General Labourer/machine Operator

**Job Purpose**:
Assist in various functions of our operations while following all safety, environmental, and quality practices, within a fast paced, custom fabrication environment, reporting to the department Supervisor/Plant Superintendent.
**(This position is hiring for day shift)**

**Job Duties**:

- Operate in a safe manner forklift equipment to deliver or store various parts.
- Produce quality product while focusing on given standards.
- Opportunity to learn various pieces of equipment or processes in a backup situation.
- Ability to operate hand power tools safely.
- Ability to perform equipment inspections/checklists when required.
- Handle heavy materials manually and with overhead cranes in a safe and efficient manner
- Adhere to all safety practices and report any unsafe conditions, broken or malfunctioning equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
- Advanced capability for using shop measuring equipment, and cutting equipment to cut stock.
- Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss.
- Conforms to departmental safety requirements.

**Skills/Qualifications**:
Forklift knowledge

**Education/Experience**:
High School Diploma or its equivalent, 1+ years’ experience preferred.
