**Job Summary**:
The Foundational Services Behaviour Technician will work with a Clinical Supervisor and/or Senior Therapist to provide consultative support and assessment to clients on the waitlist for the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and their families. Additionally the Behaviour Technician will work with a Clinical Supervisor and/or Senior Therapist to provide Applied Behaviour Analytic services to children and youth with autism and their families receiving OAP Evidence-Based Behavioural Services in home, school, or community settings.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Facilitate play groups with waitlist children and their families
- Provide brief behavioural consultation as part of Foundational Services in the OAP
- Develop and facilitate skill acquisition groups
- Assist with caregiver training and liaise with parents
- Deliver direct service and monitor the learner’s progress
- Assist with implementation of behavioural assessment procedures
- Implementation of ABA-based behaviour plans for children and youth
- Prepare teaching materials
- Participate in treatment planning and reporting

**Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary Degree in Psychology and Behavioural Science Technology Diploma or 3 year Behavioural Science Technology Diploma
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an Instructor Therapist or Behaviour Technician with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or intellectual disabilities Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)principles and techniques
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with teams and families
- Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to manage a caseload
- Experience with parent/mediator training
- Travel is required for this position, the successful incumbent must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical
