Civil Co-op Student

Assist Design manager and/or Branch manager in tender and/or construction phase of projects. Work with Operations manager to learn the process of business and techniques through participating tender and/or field construction activities, as well help build job histories.

**Major Functions**:

- Adhere to safety, commercial and financial policies of the company
- Project HSE preparation, i.e. risk assessment, documentation, orientation, estimating, planning and scheduling of assigned projects
- Prepare documentation for the geotechnical contracts to a professional and concise standard
- Participate in field construction activities as required to provide with opportunity to learn the construction process related to the business
- Prepare drawings and carry out quantity surveying and comparison
- Produce project coordinates and associated tasks
- Prepare and update office binders
- Prepare and update site binders
- Assist in submittals preparation
- Assist with surveying, QAQC, HSE, production parameters records
- Conduct Soil investigation analyses and comparisons
- Prepare case histories
- Carry out geotechnical analyses as required
- Tender documentation review and synthesis

**Knowledge**:

- Civil Engineering student
- Knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering
- Computer competencies in MS office, **AutoCAD (Civil3D)**, MS Project, MS Teams, and other software required

**Salary**: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
