**About Us**

Northern Lights Estate Winery is Canada’s largest fruit winery and is located in Prince George, BC on the banks of the Nechako River. The winery opened in 2015 and we have welcomed thousands of guests through our doors over the years. Our operations include farming, Riverhouse Restaurant, Wineshop, online sales, Events, and, of course, winemaking. Our team comes from a variety of backgrounds and skill sets to complement each other and help us find success in all of our endeavors.

Specialist Job Duties:

- Lead the wineshop team in tandem with the Wineshop manager/Director of Services
- Working with Director of services to understand budgeted hours, complete weekly scheduling of the Wine Shop and Tasting teams, working in tandem with F&B Leads to utilize staffing hours effectively.
- Keep Wine Shop Team time edits up to date, occasionally updating F&B departments time as well
- Weekly reconciliation of the Wine Shop Daily Cash, including verifying deposits, communicating other payment types and float creation/reimbursement (for Wine Shop and F&B requirements)
- Respond to Shopify messenger & community text group
- Updating wine club member information, adding & removing members
- Planning for Wine Club in coordination with Director of Services and Production team
- Wineshop staff training, ensuring they have the knowledge for success
- Conducting weekly public tours
- Reorganizing wine shop merchandise & ordering new products
- Inventory of Wine Shop and Gift Shop
- Building a base of Wine-related training materials and programs to keep staff knowledge up-to-date

Wineshop Job Duties:

- Welcome customers into the winery, guiding them to the appropriate departments. Answering the Winery phones and fielding incoming calls appropriately.
- Strong understanding of NLEW wines, tasting notes, ingredients etc. Ability to provide multiple wine tastings on a regular basis.
- Support Restaurant & Events as needed, must have decent understanding of all 3 departments
- Ring through customers on square till, provide recommendations for customers
- Stock wine, merchandise, & supplies in the wineshop
- Complete cleaning tasks, ensure the wineshop area is kept to a high standard of cleanliness
- Fulfilling online orders, preparing packages for pick-up & shipping

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to meet physical needs of the position; able to lift 50 lbs frequently and stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work indoors and out in all weather conditions.
- Must be comfortable scaling ladders and using stairs frequently
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts including split shifts, early mornings, late nights, holidays and weekends.
- Must be 19 years of age and have a Serving It Right certificate.
- Must express a sincere interest in learning about wine and food, WSET certification is a plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
