Overview:
G&C Logistics is an established Customs Broker and Freight Forwarder, with our own in-house freight forwarding, warehousing and trucking services.

We are seeking a Freight Forwarder who can go beyond the routine and can work independently, with mínimal supervision. As a Freight Forwarder, you will play a crucial role in the transportation and logistics process, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials. This is a full-time position that requires working from the office and is **not** a work from home/hybrid position.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Independently make bookings for confirmed transportation orders for Imports and occasionally exports
- Track & Trace shipments tasked to them
- Provide timely and accurate updates to the customers
- Arrange relevant and required services with regards to quoted business
- Troubleshoot problem shipments or bring attention to management when assistance is required
- Must communicate with customers and partners (both overseas and domestic)
- Prepare pricing and handle overseas/client inquiries
- Balance dates of arrival and delivery
- Keep track of LFDs and Storage days
- Finalize costing/Invoicing for shipments completed
- Submit Profit & Loss reports (generated by our system) on a shipment to shipment basis

**Skills, Traits, & Knowledge**
- Highly organized regarding paperwork, time management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English,
- Basic Canadian import/export processes
- E-Manifest submission rules and compliance
- CERS submissions, rules, and compliance

**Must Have**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Freight Forwarding position (Import or Export)

**Good to Have**:

- Usage of Global Freight / Forwarder logic (Descartes) would be considered an asset
