After School Program Leaders - Performing Arts

Part Time: 2-10 hours a week |Shift: Thursdays 2:30pm - 4:30pm starting mid-April.
Rate: Starting at $20.00/hr

Rise Arts Company is looking for After School Program Leaders to lead and deliver visual arts and/or performing arts programs at various locations across the Tri-cities and/or Surrey. Applicants must be comfortable with planning and leading drama/theatre programs to ages 7-11.

Qualifications:

- Have a background in dance, specifically hip hop.
- Must be available Wednesdays from 2:30pm - 4:30pm from April - June 2023
- Have a joy and passion working with children ages 5-12 years old
- Must have experience lesson planning and leading a range of activities to children and/or youth
- Must be comfortable leading programs to groups of 15+ participants
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with managers, co-workers, site staff, parents & children
- Must be highly reliable, punctual and responsible
- Have the ability to create a safe and welcoming space for children and youth to explore their love for creativity

Certifications/Licenses:

- Current first-aid certificate.
- Drivers license.
- Must complete a Police Information Check.
