$ 19.93-23.03 (non-certified)
- _A W_eekend Premium of $2.00 hourly_ applies to all hours worked between 10:00pm on Friday and 6:00am on Monday._
- _ A Night Shift Premium of $0.40 hourly applies to all regular hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am._

**About the Position**

Reporting to the Director of Support, the Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the residents according to Canada's Food Guide requirements, legislative standards and regulations, and TCMH policies and procedures. The professional is responsible for all aspects of food production, food service and sanitation.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Prepares, portions, and presents meal and snacks to be served to residents, visitors, staff and special events
- Prepares food for therapeutic, texture modification, and preference diets
- Organizes food preparation schedules to meet meal deadlines
- Ensures that work area and equipment are maintained organized and clean
- Participates in training and meetings ensuring the quality of the services

**Minimal Requirements**
- Must have Food Handler Certification
- Culinary diploma or a Red Seal Cook Certification is preferred
- Long-Term Care or institutional cooking experience is an asset
