Resolute Forest Products is presently assisting its contractor to recruit the following position;

**Truck & Coach Technician**

Renewable Forest Products has an immediate need for an experienced Journeyperson Truck and Coach Mechanic Technician for a fast-paced local shop.

Full time, Permanent position - Wage offer will be based on previous experience and training. Can you demonstrate a high degree of dedication to achieve results and take action rapidly while managing multiple priorities? If so, this position will offer you rewarding challenges and opportunities.

**PRIMARY LOCATION**: Thunder Bay / Northwestern Ontario

**Duties**:
As a Truck & Coach Technician, you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail in the wood products transportation industry. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of a fleet of trucks doing any, and all necessary work. You will have experience with diesel engine repair, electrical & electronic systems, and fuel & emission systems, automatic & standard transmissions. Your other duties will include complete engine overhaul, drive train components and truck-trailer repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck and trailer systems.

**Type of Equipment Repair**:

- Repair and Maintain Transport Trucks/Trailers (all makes & models)

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Truck and Coach Technician Certificate,
- 3 - 5 years’ experience,
- Able to problem solve, perform inspections, test, diagnosis malfunctions / mechanical problems and perform vehicle repairs
- Adjust or replace parts on mechanical, electronic, and electrical systems, including brakes, cooling, steering, drive trains, suspension, lighting and preventive maintenance, etc.
- Report on the status of assigned jobs, confirm findings, and determine repair or replacement of parts.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude,
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills,
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

**Workplace Salary & Benefits**:

- We offer a competitive compensation salary: $27.00-$28.00 per hour
- Group benefits include Dental, Extended Healthcare, Life Insurance, Vision-care, RRSP match
- Wages are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

**Schedule**:

- 10 hour shift (Day & Evenings) Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
- Willing to work overtime as required
