BURNCO Rock Products Ltd. (“BURNCO”) is seeking a Production Supervisor who will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient operations of our Ready-Mix Production Plants in the Greater Vancouver region. The position will lead all plant and yard staff using state of the art concrete batch plant software with advanced monitoring and measuring control systems.

**What You Will Be Doing**:
**Plants and Equipment**
- Ensures plants and equipment are operated and maintained to Company standards
- Investigates and presents to Management for approval, new technologies and equipment to improve production and reduce operating costs
- Provides consistent approach to production in all operations where practical

**Concrete Production and Delivery**
- Ensures concrete is batched to required specifications
- Ensures that any returned concrete is firstly, made into lock-blocks; secondly, recycled when recycling facilities are available; and thirdly, disposed of in the most economical and environmentally-friendly method possible
- Ensures plants are properly maintained and kept clean inside and outside, as is practical under existing weather conditions
- Ensure all raw materials are ordered in a timely fashion and ensure all inventories are at manageable levels

**Employee Supervision**
- Ensures operations are properly staffed with the goal of minimizing overtime costs and idle time.
- Trains employees as required
- Ensures employees are disciplined as required in a well-documented and progressive manner
- Ensures regular monthly Tool
- Box Meetings are held and that employees work in a safe manner and environment
- Liaises with Central Dispatch to maximize efficient use of drivers and equipment
- Ensures that on large projects, there is proper coordination with job sites prior to delivery of concrete
- Contributes to positive employee morale

**Special Projects**
- Works with the General Manager to provide a consistent approach to the production and delivery of concrete, where practical

**Administration**
- Promotes BURNCO’s safety culture and ensuring a safe and clean working environment
- Active co-chair of BCM’s Joint Health and Safety Committee
- Ensure all timecards are completed accurately and approved
- Coordinate all new hire and termination paperwork with Corporate administration

**What We Would Like from You**
- Minimum 5 years plus related work experience, IN THE Ready-Mix industry
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License and Clean Drivers Abstract
- Previous supervisory experience
- Effective Communicator
- Strong Leader with strong moral character
- Bi Lingual would be helpful
- Highly motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision in a busy environment
- Advanced computer skills including all MS Office products
- Ability to schedule, supervise and ensure smooth production operations are maintained throughout the week, weekends and irregular hours at times

**Salary Range** : CAD $110,000- $115,000
