**Position title**:Supervisor, SAP Basis

**Location**:Montreal (hybrid)

**Reports to**: Manager SAP Admin.

By supporting the Manager of SAP Admin team, he/she will supervise the SAP Basis team and contribute to evolve the SAP solution and grow the SAP practice maturity going forward.

**Job Responsibilities / Accountabilities**:
1. Manage operational activities:

- The SAP Basis Supervisor will supervise and perform administration for all the SAP environments and integrated third-party tools running within the SAP landscapes, maintaining the integrity of the environments.
- Will Monitor issues and identify root problems and trends, and propose and implement solutions to improve performance, stability, and usability.
- Will participate in the On-Call rotation, troubleshoot problems, and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Own SAP patching program and ensure systems are updated as per plan.
- Maintains effective communication of plans, status and issues to business and Information Technology management.
- Serves as a conduit between the SAP Functional and the others IT teams (Unix, DBA, Storage, Telecom, Compliance).
- 2. _Participate to projects:

- Take a leadership role in the implementation, rollout and/or upgrade of SAP and related systems.
- Accountable for successful execution, as the solution is implemented and the solution transitions to regular operations.
- Drives evaluation of options, risks, resource requirements, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
- Responsible for planning an approach for defining, documenting, categorizing, and packaging requirements for projects and initiatives.
- Liaise with business management, IT management, vendors, and partners in project related matters as well as lead discussion on strategic direction and best fit alternatives or to align IT plans with Business strategic plans.

3.IT General Controls and Sox Controls:

- Ensure audit and ITGC controls are observed and followed.
- Participate in internal and external audits requests.

4. Manage the SAP Basis team:

- Will supervise remote and on-premise Basis Administrator’s team (employees and external consultant in on-site and off shore environment), will need to show ability to supervise in a remote work environment
- Will conduct regular team meeting, assign tasks, and balance workload.
- Will perform employee reviews and grow team members.
- Will provide guidance to the team through problem definition, issue identification and work plan development using problem solving principles and experience
- Coach and mentor other team members and conduct knowledge sharing activities

- SAP Basis Administration Experience with SAP ECC, BW and APO and Solution manager is must.
- Experience managing SAP in on prem and cloud environment is plus.
- SAP ECC 6, R/3 4.6, 4.7;
- BW: Sap NetWeaver ;
- SCM: 7.0, LiveCache;
- Solution Manager;
- Netweaver Java and ABAP administration;
- TREX;
- Saprouter;
- SAP portal;
- SAP ISA 7.0 (a plus)
- Database knowledge: Oracle, Hana (a plus);
- Operating System HP-UX, Linux (RedHat Enterprise), Windows

**Professional Experience / Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent is preferred
- Participate in Disaster Recovery plans, procedures and test scenarios and provides oversight and sign-offs in regular DR rehearsals.
- Result driven with a positive can-do attitude
- Highly team oriented
- Excellent collaboration/communication skills
