Maple Star is a treatment foster care agency which places children and youth between the ages of 6-18 into foster homes throughout Peel, York, Simcoe, Toronto and Durham regions. Maple Star is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of foster parents, social workers, tutors and child and youth workers who work together to meet the needs of each child placed in their care.

The role of the child and youth worker is to work one on one with children and youth who have behavioural, emotional and/or social needs. The CYW will work on clinical goals as developed by the service team and work to promote independence, life skills, social skills and behavioural strategies.

Applicants must have their own car and a valid driver’s license and insurance to be considered for this position. There is a significant amount of driving in the position due to the location of the foster homes
- mileage is reimbursed. The office is located at Hwy 7/Weston and there is an expectation to be in the office in person on a regular basis.

The successful applicant **must have graduated with a CYW diploma or degree** and must have excellent interpersonal and written skills.
