Located in the historic Stockyard district of Toronto, St. Helen’s Meat Packers is among Canada's largest family-owned and operated federal meat establishments.

Our roots trace back to the early 1950s, starting as a small butcher shop dedicated to providing the finest beef, veal, lamb, and poultry products to local markets. **Plant Manager**

**The Position**

As the Plant Manager, you will lead our dedicated team, inspiring excellence and achieving financial results. You will cultivate an environment where staff and community thrive, fostering skill development and empowerment. In the meat business, dedication means living and breathing it 24 hours, 7 days a week.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and supervise general production and operations with hands-on oversight.
- Implement and enforce health and safety policies to maintain a secure work environment.
- Monitor and report on production rates, analyzing data for continuous improvement.
- Manage employee attendance, punctuality, and overall performance.
- Organize and monitor inventory to optimize production processes.
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet targets and optimize workflow.
- Compile and analyze relevant data for team meetings, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Implement strategies to enhance production efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Possess knowledge of best practices for plant management in food production facilities.
- Demonstrate past experience in managing large food production facilities.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and safe handling practices.
- Experience dealing with CFIA inspectors is preferred.
- We are looking for someone who can make decisions quickly and logically.

**Physical Demands**:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly work in a cold environment.

**Job Type**: Full-time

**Schedule**:

- 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
- Overtime as needed
- Day shifts
- Weekends as needed

**Work Location**: In-person

**Expected Start Date**: April 1, 2024
