**Sturgeon Public Schools **is currently seeking an **Inclusive Behaviour Coach (teacher) **to work with Learning Services and report to the Coordinator of Student Services.

This position is responsible for providing Tier 2 and 3 behavior support to teachers as well as direct elbow to elbow coaching to our Strategies and Alternate Environments Teachers across the Division who work with students who struggle with managing their emotions and behaviors in the classroom. The Inclusive Behaviour Coach would work closely with Learning Support Leads and Strategies teachers to identify students who need support and develop personalized plans to help them regulate their emotions and behaviors in the classroom. This Inclusion Coach will provide resources and strategies to help build capacity of staff, students and families. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) is a new framework that we are using with the Division. The Inclusive Behaviour Coach would be expected to be trained in TCI and be a trainer for the Division. They will work closely with Strategies teachers and other school staff to ensure that TCI strategies are implemented consistently and effectively across the school division.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide training and coaching to Strategies teachers on evidenced based behaviour practices such as PBS, NME, CPS, TCI
- Collaborate with school administrators to identify areas for improvement in behavior, regulation and TCI implementation
- Support the development and implementation of Behaviour Plans to address areas for improvement
- Provide coaching and support to teachers and staff on inclusive teaching practices and behavioural support strategies
- Respond to behavioral referrals and go into classrooms to support teachers in building a Behaviour Plan
- Provide ongoing support to Strategies teachers to ensure that support strategies are being implemented effectively and aligned with divisional goals
- Work collaboratively with other members of the school team to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Maintain accurate records of TCI implementation and progress
- Collect data on the efficient use of the Strategies support across the division **Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialty in Special Education, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a classroom setting working with students who have emotional and behavioral challenges, including trauma
- Certification in TCI would be an asset
- Experience in instructional coaching would be an asset
- Knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices
- Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, school staff, and parents
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
