Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Club Manager is accountable for all aspects of the day-to-day operations within the Club facility and grounds as well as enhancing member and guest experience. Your entrepreneurial spirit will assist the organization in maintaining strong relationships with guests and members, generating new business, increasing staff engagement, improving service, ensuring sustainability and meeting business objectives.

Job Responsibilities:

- Work directly with the Board of Directors to ensure a smooth and efficiently run curling club.
- Manage the Curling club staff, including bar and ice tech staff.
- Work with section volunteers overseeing the day-to-day activities of the leagues and maintain the master curling calendar.
- Proactively seek and pursue opportunities: to attract new curling members; to attract curling/non-curling events/business to Dundas Granite; to promote and attract revenue-generating activity through the use of the Club's facilities by members and the public during the curling season, including the ice, lounge, bar, and kitchen
- Managing Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivables, including invoicing customers for services rendered, sponsorships, etc.
- Maintaining the financial records for the club, stayingwithin the approvedbudget and coordinating with the auditors for the preparation of the year-end financial statements
- Registering members, collecting fees and ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date
- Managing the bar operations including purchasing and inventory control
- Interviewing, hiring, training and scheduling Club Bartenders as required, ensuring staff are Smart Serve certified
- Managing the pro shop including purchasing and inventory control
- Managing the payroll function for the Club including the payment of all staff and the issuing of Records of Employment and T4 slips, as required
- Scheduling ice allotment for leagues, rentals, bonspiels and special events and maintaining the club calendar
- Researching and filing of available Government and Sports grants applicable to the Club, for example, Trillium Grants, etc.
- Liaising with ice technicians regarding scheduled ice rentals/events
- Assist the Treasurer in preparing an annual budget
- Managing the Club’s maintenance and operations including but not limited to janitorial duties, purchasing, inventory, licensing and permits, and coordinating systems inspections
- Attend monthly Board meetings and other meetings as required
- Other duties as required

Qualifications:

- 5+ Previous curling club or equivalent management experience
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience in customer service
- Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Certified Smart Serve, Standard First Aid and CPR with AED is an asset
- Experience with POS, Quickbooks accounting software
- Efficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access)
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Vulnerable Sector Clearance

Asset Qualifications:

- Working knowledge of all applicable federal/provincial legislation including, but not limited to, Employment Standards Act (ESA), Alcohol and Gaming Regulation and Public Protection Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workers Safety and Insurance Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and relevant guidelines/protocols/policies of Public Health Ontario, and the Ontario Curling Association.

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
