Vancouver, Canada BC Children's Hospital Digital Lab Full time

**Summary**

The Digital Lab is an integrated unit of both BC Children's Hospital and the University of British Columbia. In alignment with the vision of both organizations, we lead digital projects across the spectrum of pediatric health, including research, education, health advocacy, and the delivery of clinical services. Our fundamental goal is to leverage digital innovation to advance child health and improve the lives of children and their families.

As a member of the Digital Lab, the Motion Graphic Design Intern will support media production on projects such as healthcare digital campaigns, e-Learning courses, and knowledge translation platforms within the Digital Lab’s portfolio.

**Organizational Status**

**Work Performed**
- Assist creation of design proposals and assets for digital content and campaigns, infographics, video, motion graphics, and multimedia presentations
- Support production staff with the coordination, creation, scheduling and distribution of all media projects.
- Follow and mimic existing design guidelines and visual style for ongoing projects
- Assist with general duties including making asset lists, finding references, and mood boarding
- Iterate by refining and polishing concepts based on feedback
- Keep up to date with design trends and developments in the design sphere
- Collaborate with the Design Team to create amazing digital products

**Qualifications**
- (Highly preferred) Current bachelors or certificate student, or recent graduate in animation, graphic design, visual communication or a related field of study
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Understanding of video and animation production processes
- Experience and ability to create vector based illustrations (Illustrator, Affinity)
- Detail oriented; excellent communication and organization skills
- Ability to identify problems and exercise creative problem solving skills
- Ability to work, learn, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and on a team

**Bonus Qualifications**
- 2D classical animation
- Visual design/Graphic Design experience
- Experience with 3D software (eg. Blender, Maya, C4D)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $3,300.00-$3,500.00 per month

Schedule:
