**Team & Job Overview**

The Process Performance Improvement (PPI) team falls under the Sustainable Business & Enablement group. PPI enables EDC teams to be more efficient and deliver greater value to Canadian exporters through centralized Business Process Management (BPM) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). This function combines the ability of documenting (through flowcharts) corporate processes and optimizing these for greater efficiencies and improved risk management, while proactively identifying automation opportunities, assessing anticipated value and readiness, with the capability to implement in a timely manner customer-centric, technology-independent automation solutions that are easily adopted and can scale across the organization.

**Discipline Summary**
- Perform process improvement initiatives across the organization and challenges the status quo where problems or inefficiencies exist
- Defines business processes through documenting both the "As Is" and "To Be" state in flowcharts
- Improves productivity & reduces costs through efficient process design incorporating LEAN best practices, industry leading techniques, and automation
- Proactively identifies improvement or automation opportunities through process analysis, that drive efficiencies by eliminating waste and optimize consistency of execution
- Answer queries that arise throughout operational use or during problem-solving and transformation initiatives
- Measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable, quantifiable business process improvements
- Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business process solutions
- Determines how robotic process automation (RPA) can support reengineering of business processes or optimization opportunities

**Key Responsibilities**
- Acts as an expert to business units in embedding continuous improvement and process thinking mindset in view of enhancing their operations and improving customer experience
- Adheres the BPM standards and tools, leads the development, deployment and maintenance of process documents that enable self-serve & understanding of the end-to-end process
- Facilitates process improvement and problem-solving sessions, ensuring processes and standards are adhered to and investment decisions and business outcomes are optimized
- Prepares data for PPI's operational reports

**Screening Criteria**
- Completed an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering or in a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business process improvement or related experience
- Working knowledge of Business Process Management or business process re-engineering principles and practices
- Visio and process mapping experience are a must
- Problem solving & innovation skills
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops in collaboration with business stakeholders
- Good verbal communication, presentation, collaboration, and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple deliverables and execute tasks with short lead times, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles

**Assets**
- Bilingual in both official languages (French and English)
- IASSC Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
- BPMN certifications
- Excel pivot and macro functions
- Microsoft Sharepoint site design
- Experience in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) analysis
- Knowledge of finance or insurance industry

**Salary Range**
- $66,000 - $99,000, plus performance-based incentive
