- The Maternal Newborn Care and Women's Health and Gynecology Program at The Ottawa Hospital offers comprehensive care related to perinatal, newborn care, women's health and gynecology.- The Quality Specialist is essential in monitoring and coordinating program strategies quality and performance indicators; with a focus on the coordination and standardization of care across the program. The position will assist program leadership in determining areas for improvement, ensuring efficient and effective healthcare delivery.**Rotation/Shifts**:
- Days, 8 hour shifts.- For information purposes only - The Hospital reserves the right to change.
**Basic Requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Health or Social Sciences;
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a health care environment;
- Minimum 3 years' experience in project management;
- Minimum 2 years' experience interpreting, analyzing, and presenting data;
- Experience in working independently and effectively managing multiple priorities;
- Expertise in project planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting;
- Knowledge of the health care environment and maternal, newborn care and women's health system;
- Knowledge of statistics and ability to analyze fiscal and patient care data;
- Knowledge of principles of relationship management and stakeholder engagement;
- Demonstrated understanding of Quality Improvement methods, principles and best practices;
- Proven experience in quality improvement initiatives;
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles of adult education and innovations in the field;
- Excellent oral and written communication;
- Effective presentation skills;
- Demonstrated problem solving and concern resolution;
- Demonstrated leadership and the ability to facilitate change;
- Ability to work collaboratively and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Eligible to work in Canada.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Master’s Degree in Education, Business/Health Care Administration, Quality or other health or project management related field.
