**ABOUT MINDFUL OT**

We are expanding our Mindful OT team. We are a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Clinic located in Newmarket, Ontario. We provide services to babies, kids and teens with Autism and Developmental Delays and adults services for return to work, Veterans Services, and some MVA clients.

Our bright and sunny therapy room is equipped with sensory equipment, toys and swings to promote healthy growth and development for kids. We also have a Calm Room which uses the Snoezelen concept with a Mindful Touch. In addition to our fine motor, gross motor, sensory integration and self-regulation programs, we specialize in Art Therapy, Mindfulness and Biofeedback Programs from HeartMath.

We are looking for a full and part time, independent, creative and talented OT who is passionate about working with kids, their families and adults to join our team. This is primarily an in-clinic job with some in-home and school visits for educational purposes. Job duties and skills are listed below. We provide flexible hours with the ability to manage your own caseload and mentoring from the owner of the clinic. This is an exciting position with opportunities for growth but it requires the right person who hold a set of Soft Skills and Growth Mindset.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**
- Complete Initial Assessments for babies, kids, teens and adults
- Write initial assessment reports & Growth Plans
- Provide treatment for fine motor, gross motor, sensory integration and self-regulation
- Must be available to work weekdays and on Saturday
- Maintain professional communication with parents, clinical team and supervisor
- Contact clients to schedule initial assessments and independently manage your own caseload
- Support the Clinical Director to maintain the organization of clinic and safety checklists
- Ability to identify goals and establish appropriate treatment plans to achieve said goals with children, youth, families and other care providers both in-person and virtually
- Effectively educate children/youth, families and other care providers related to their specific needs, utilizing a variety of strategies and through a variety of mediums (group, individual, lectures, online, etc.)

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**
- You hold Post-secondary degree in occupational therapy
- You are active member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- You have a valid professional liability insurance
- You hold a completed Police Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
- You have access to a reliable vehicle, possession of a valid driver’s permit and willingness to travel within your service area.
