**Overview**
**Responsibilities**:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming materials for damage or incomplete orders
- Prepare items for shipment, including crating if necessary
- Prepare paperwork for shipments and arrange for pickups by carriers
- Operate forklift to load, unload and move shipments
- Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate order fulfillment and to check inventory levels
- Distribute incoming shipments to the appropriate person/department and stock shelves with inventoried parts/supplies
- Proactively work with our trades staff to ensure their orders arrive in a timely manner so they can meet their deadlines, keeping them updated of any changes
- Process packing slips and invoices for incoming shipments through data entry system
- Arrange for repair or replacement of our technician's tools
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the Shipping/Receiving area, both inside and outside, including disposal of shipment packaging
- Work alongside the other Parts staff, assisting with data entry of stock parts used or ordering of parts/supplies
- Report to the Parts Department Lead Hand

**Skills**:
- Experience in shipping/receiving processes
- Ability to maintain a calm and respectful demeanor in stressful moments
- Ability to operate forklift
- Ability to use small tools
- Strong attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking and verification
- Good memory and retention of information and events are crucial
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in our fast-paced industry - ability to re-prioritize
- Knowledge of the marine industry and boats is an asset but not critical - if not, there will be new terminology for you to learn - an interesting challenge
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
