**Overview**:
You will be responsible for the ownership of plan and budget data as it relates to assigned projects, the management of plan changes, and general maintenance of activity and its effect on all related outputs, including communication to implementation teams. The planner will also provide recommendations on how competitive activities can be exploited to our clients’ advantage.
**Your Impact**:
- Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of media plan
- Effectively uses industry tools to aid in plan development
- Assist in developing plan metrics and responsible for analysis and related reports pertaining to KPIs
- Prepare, check, verify and issue analysis including on-going maintenance
- Assist senior team members in all phases of account/client management
- Develop a deeper understanding of client needs and strategy
- Analyze media alternatives to recommend how to best allocate the advertising budget
- Facilitate competitive analysis as required
- Play a key role in the budget and client billing process to ensure accuracy
- Write and maintain status and contact reports to ensure efficient workflow to meet deadlines
- Keep abreast of industry trends through trade journals, industry workshops/seminars and track current events
**Your Qualifications**:
- Minimum 1-2 years as a Planning and/or Buying Assistant
- University or College degree/diploma in Media, Marketing, Business, or related field and/or relevant years of experience
- Demonstrates understanding of media basics and concepts
- Knowledge of Mediaocean and Numerator (Mediatools a bonus)
- Working knowledge of Syndicated tools (Vividata,Comscore, etc.)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate concisely and clearly both orally and in writing
- Digitally savvy: uses digital and social media, demonstrates passion about emerging media, Google Analytics, Google Images, ability to search and research topics, etc.
