UX/UI Design Manager

The Dufresne Group is currently seeking a **UX/UI Design Manager** **for our eCommerce Team. This role can be located in **Winnipeg, Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver.**
As a UX/UI Design Manager you will be responsible for leading the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) of Ashleyhomestore.ca and Dufresne.ca. This role combines leading and developing UX-UI team members with hands-on production of high-quality UX design solutions. You will work collaboratively with eCommerce and Marketing stakeholders to ensure that all elements of the online user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design.

**As the UX/UI Design Manager, you will**:
- Conceptualize and develop a comprehensive UX/UI design strategy for the brands.
- Oversee the production of high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
- Design, test, and analyze UX/UI elements for ashleyhomestore.ca and Dufresne.ca based on eCommerce best practices.
- Propose designs to deliver customer engagement and conversion results, consistently executed in alignment with the brand guidelines.
- Conduct user research, testing and analysis for site elements, page designs and page flows, translating insights into effective and creative ideas.
- Plan and facilitate the creation of user journey maps and user scenarios.
- Present UX/UI work to eCommerce and business stakeholders, effectively facilitating feedback and communicating objectives and rationale.
- Help the product team assess and prioritize opportunities, constraints, and features.
- Partner with Marketing to identify opportunities to grow the business through execution of UX/UI best practices.
- Lead and develop UX/UI designer(s) in user-centred design practices and evaluation techniques. Hire and manage external UX/UI design resources as required.
- Maintain accountability for the overall quality of UX/UI design work.
- Manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
- At least 5 Years of UX experience with B2C eCommerce websites is preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, Figma, Axure RP, and Azure Dev Ops is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in design, computer science, information sciences, psychology, or human factors preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Familiarity with UX trends methodologies and skilled with UX tools and A/B or Multivariate Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Experience guiding product decisions through user research, customer development, and iterative feedback loops.
- A portfolio of professional UX/UI design work that demonstrates user-centred design solutions with measurable outcomes.
- Practical knowledge of user-centred design methodologies, usability principles, web-based information architecture and designs.
- Knowledge and experience working with various Content Management System (CMS) tools (Shopify Plus preferred).
- Familiarity with ADA/WCAG compliance or other digital accessibility disciplines.
- Excellent organizational, project and time management skills, with the ability to work well in a highly collaborative and team-based environment.
- The ability to present and explain design concepts and decisions to different audiences at all levels.
- Passion for ecommerce and customer curiosity.
- An interest in innovation and continually learning new technologies and design skills/methods within the digital space.
