IT Specialist

**Job Summary**:
The IT Specialist provides reliable, consistent and timely IT services to Tanco Mine. Working collaboratively with all staff, the IT specialist strives to optimize IT performance to identify solutions to IT and business-related challenges.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Work with external resources to support IT requirements.
- Responsible for network administration, site IT maintenance and IT system user support.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware, software and other operating systems.
- Monitor system performance, diagnose issues and proactively implement solutions to optimize system efficiency and reliability.
- Ensure data security and integrity as well as adherence to cybersecurity best practices.
- Collaborate with team members to identify IT needs and implement appropriate solutions.
- Provide technical support to team members, addressing and resolving IT-related problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide and seek to continuously improve enterprise Office 365 and Desktop support.
- Other duties as may be locally assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong project and task management skills. Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers and others who are remote to the site.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve moderately difficult problems, providing clear alternatives.

- Ability to lead and participate in team/group discussion.

- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

**Education/Experience**:

- 5-7 years’ experience in a multi-location Microsoft server environment supporting servers and the user community.
- Current certification in Microsoft 365 Desktop Administration, Fundamentals or Messaging.
- Certification or demonstrated experience with PLC or HMI platforms. Schneider preferred.
- Two plus years’ experience with local, wide area and industrial networking.
- Mining experience highly desirable.

**Ability to commute/relocate**: Lac du Bonnet, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

**License/Certification**: Valid Drivers License (required).

**Salary**: From $80,000.00 per year
