We are filling the following positions: Monday to Friday from 3-6pm.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Level 1, 2 or 3 Child Care Certificate

First Aid

Clear Criminal Record
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices

Previous Experience in a Child Care Setting preferred

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervision of a child with special needs & support to the child in their social, emotional and cognitive development.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to provide supports to the child
- Assist child with toileting & going to the washroom
- Assist child with getting off yellow school bus and out of a three-point harness.
- Assist child with transitions, dressing & peer interactions.
- Adapt daily activities within the room for the child ensuring that the activities are age-appropriate and match the child’s developmental level
- Monitor and assess the child’s progress & development while communicating their growth to parents.
- Supervision of a group of children from Kindergarten to Grade 6 when the child with special needs is not present.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a cohesive learning environment.
- Light cleaning duties
- Daily observation and documentation
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, staff and children.

Extra hours available during summer, spring break, winter break, and P.D. Days

Competitive Wages + Gov't top up for child care level

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $16.25-$20.21 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
