**Job Summary**

Mighty Learner Childcare, an out-of-school care program in Calgary, Panorama Hills Community, seeks a dedicated Leader to join our team. As a Program Director at Mighty Learners, you will be crucial in nurturing and educating young children in a supportive and caring environment. Our center follows the Emergent Curriculum and Project Based Learning approaches, emphasizing play, inquiry, and individualized learning experiences for each child.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children to learn and grow.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to support the overall well-being of each child.
- Follow daily routines and schedules to ensure consistency and stability for the children in your care.
- Knowledge about Licensing and Health requirements, Other financial software to keep track of enrolment, revenue and expenses, and administrative tasks required to run a daycare.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the daycare facility to provide a healthy and safe environment.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in management techniques to create an effective learning environment for children and staff members.
- Strong caregiving skills to attend to each child's individual needs with compassion and patience.
- 5 years of experience in the field with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
- Ability to train and guide staff through various learning experiences that promote growth and professional development.
- 5 years of experience working with children to understand their behaviours, needs, and developmental stages.

Expected hours: 40 per week
