**Maintenance Technician**

**About the role**

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will work as part of a team to preserve and improve on the condition and function of facilities, machinery, and systems in the organization. This position will perform a variety of tasks which can include equipment and facility repairs and maintenance, HVAC repairs and maintenance, painting, trouble shooting, and assisting with preventative maintenance programs.

**What you will do**:

- Setting up and fine tunning automated production lines.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving of potential issues on automated production lines.
- Assist with the planned maintenance and repairs of machineries.
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Assist with the maintenance of ventilation, plumbing, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
- Perform general repairs and upkeep of the facility the facility as needed and required.
- Perform lock out, tag out procedures.

**What you will need to be successful**:

- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience within the automotive manufacturing industry is an asset.
- Intermediate understanding of Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
- Working knowledge of tools, power tools, electrical, welding, plumbing, common appliances, and devices
- Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and understand English and to document stipulated records as instructed.
- Problem solving and trouble shooting abilities.
- Works with a safety-first approach.
- Capable to climb and carry ladders.
- Ability to work with a changing schedule to including evenings and weekends to accommodate the completion of certain tasks at times that are least disruptive to production.

**Additional Nice to Haves**
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) designation.
