Wire Harness Assembler

**Summary**
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Follow detailed assembly and test instructions, processes and procedures
- Follow quality control practices
- Assemble sub-assemblies
- Perform assembly work to various sections of the wiring harness
- Perform all operations related to the production of electrical measurement products, including preparing and installing sub-assemblies.
- Solder wires and electronic components on harnesses and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, power tools, crimp presses, pneumatic strippers safely and as prescribed.
- Perform wire-cutting, stripping, crimping, heat-shrinking and other simple cable operations.
- Perform hand winding of long cables as required.
- Packaging and crating harnesses as per customer requirements
- Perform any other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
- Perform variety of testing related to functionality of Alta's harnesses
- Maintain 5S practices
- Record keeping as directed by Supervisor
- Housekeeping as required
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Must have a minimum of 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be mechanically and electronically inclined
- Must be able to use various hand and air tools
- Must be able to solder
- IPC training would be an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Must be a self-starter and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Poses excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
**Salary**: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Georgetown, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Work Location: One location
Expected start date: 2023-03-01
