Welding / Production Lead (FT) - MUST HAVE A VALID CANADIAN WORK PERMIT

A welding production leadhand is responsible for overseeing the welding production process within a manufacturing or construction setting. They manage a team of welders and provide leadership to ensure that welding projects are completed efficiently and accurately.

**The primary duties and responsibilities of a welding production leadhand may include**:

- Supervising and coordinating a team of welders to ensure all production targets are met.
- Providing technical guidance and assistance to team members on welding techniques and procedures.
- Monitoring work quality and ensuring that all welds meet industry standards and specifications.
- Mechanical back ground an asset
- Inspecting welds for defects and providing feedback to welders for improvement.
- Planning and organizing work schedules to optimize production efficiency.
- Ordering and maintaining welding supplies and equipment.
- CNC Plasma Experience
- Some CAD and 310T knowledge
- Ensuring a safe work environment by enforcing proper safety procedures and protocols.
- Training new welders and providing ongoing training and development opportunities for current team members.
- Collaborating with other departments to coordinate welding projects and deadlines.
- Troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during the welding production process. Maintaining accurate records of production activities and performance metrics.

A successful welding production leadhand should have strong technical knowledge of welding processes, materials, and equipment. They should also possess excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with other departments. Additionally, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety are important qualities for this role.

**Also required is**:

- Valid Drivers Licence.
- Shop experience.
