OBJECTIVE
Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, the Merchandise Planner will be responsible for generating working reports which analyze sales and inventory, as well as create and maintain the seasonal merchandise plan throughout the development of each collection. The incumbent will collaborate with internal partners to ensure efficient product turn-over and stock, as well as provide recommendations to mitigate inefficiencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain seasonal merchandise plan by category
- Ideal assortment of SKU’s per category based on last year sales and/or missed opportunities
- Create and maintain a balanced price structure by category
- Provide recommendations for how to efficiently back up stock based on units sold or percentage of customers buying each style
- Analyze weekly, monthly & annual sales by garment category and forecast for future seasons
- Analyze best-selling styles by territory, units sold and number of accounts sold and provide report on weekly basis to sales, design and marketing.
- Seasonal post mortem analysis and future season forecast.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 to 5 years in a similar role (Merchandiser, Planner, Allocation, etc.) in the retail or wholesale industry
- DEC or University degree in relevant field (fashion marketing, business admin, etc.)
- Strong passion and awareness of women’s clothing market trends
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations based on findings
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong working knowledge of Excel (pivot, Vlookup, etc.) a must
- Working knowledge of Power BI, an asset
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
