**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Prepare sushi rice, fish, and other ingredients according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Roll, cut, and plate various types of sushi, including nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area.
- Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as needed.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help train new staff on sushi preparation techniques and food safety practices.
**Skills**
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques, particularly in the art of sushi making.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices within the food industry.
- Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on presentation and quality.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- Familiarity with various types of fish, ingredients, and their proper handling is advantageous.
